Let’s talk about Love… Love all wrapped up with hugs and kisses… I mean BIG LOVE!
Wait… I mean BUG LOVE!
The Goldbug Collection’s new collection, Love On Top, is debuting this week and oh my there is so much to talk about! So much to love!
First of all when you look at these new and fabulous pieces, you see hearts! But guess what? When Mini looks at her Goldbugs, she sees hearts! Mini is a doodler and you can always catch her with a pen and a fabulous journal in tow sketching something wonderful. Early on in her “Goldbug World” sketches, she started doodling the bugs as hearts with little legs. This time she plays that up and it’s so… LOVE–ly! Well, actually it’s Love On Top!
If you look closely at these fabulous hearts you will see little bug legs enameled on the edges of the heart! Is it not the cutest? They are Goldbugs after all!!!
And there’s more. Guess what happens when you take those little bug legs and cross them in the most ladylike way of course? You get an X… I mean a kiss, and what’s a kiss without a hug!?
The stripes, the polka dots, and the take on a paperclip chain give this new collection all the whimsy and fun that we have come to expect from the joyful designer! And the punch of red enamel will take you straight from the holidays into the summer!
For those of you who know Mini well, you know that you won’t catch her wearing black. Now that the weather is turning, you are more likely to see her in winter white paired with any dark color… besides black!
Even the girl inspired by her beloved Lowcountry… Mini turned to historic Charleston’s color palette, using Charleston Green and Aunt Betty’s China in the enamel pieces! I don’t know who Aunt Betty was, but her China was the perfect color for jewels…it’s soft and just right! The Charleston Green goes with every color… just like the shutters on Rainbow Row!
So, the name of this collection is Love On Top! Couldn’t we all use a little of that?! Cue Beyoncé… throw on some jewels… a few stripes or polka dots… kick up your heels and don’t forget to put LOVE on the top of the list!
